変換群のもとで不変な空間の性質を研究する空間形問題に興味を持ち, 主として
（ｉ）多様体上の変換群とその表現,また多様体の 幾何構造
（ii）幾何不変量の消滅と一意化, を研究している. 具体的には
（1)非球形問題（ノンコンパクト空間上の無限群の固有不連続作用, コンパクト非球形多様体の剛体性）,
(2) 擬リーマン計量を持つ多様体と離散群の極限集合.
(3) 多様体の幾何構造と基本群の表現（コンパクト多様体上の有限次元等質空間を局所的にモデルとする幾何構造, 幾何的フロウのトポロジー−アファイン変換群とアファイン平坦構造, 共形変換群と共形平坦構造, コーシー・リーマン変換群とCR共形平坦構造,ローレンツ変換群とローレンツ構造, 共形ローレンツ変換群と共形平坦ローレンツ構造複素多様体上の幾何に関する共形構造, 射影構造,局所共形ケーラー構造等）があげられる.
