Organisé à l’occasion du 10e anniversaire de la disparition du philosophe, ce colloque est intitulé L’Orient de Derrida, formule à entendre d’abord dans le sens d’une rencontre visant à célébrer l’orient de Derrida lui-même, le matin ou le lever d’une pensée dont la radicale nouveauté et le grand pouvoir de questionnement n’échappent depuis longtemps à personne. L’Orient de Derrida, c’est aussi l’impact de telle ou telle culture ou figure orientale sur Derrida et la place que l’Orient, aussi bien antique que contemporain, philosophique et littéraire que géopolitique a toujours eue dans la pensée de Derrida, l’attention à la fois amicale, inquiète et rigoureuse, que l’auteur de L’Admiration de Mandela, de Politiques de l’amitié, de L’Autre cap, de Voyous, de Monolinguisme de l’autre et de Spectres de Marx a toujours réservée à l’Orient et, au-delà de celui-ci, à toutes les marges et à tous les lieux où s’exercent une hégémonie, un annexionnisme, une subalternisation.
L’Orient de Derrida, c’est également la réception dont ont pu bénéficier Derrida et son œuvre dans les différentes langues orientales, à travers ces pratiques, elles aussi chères à Derrida et souvent analysées dans ses écrits, que sont la traduction, le commentaire et la discussion. Des philosophes, critiques littéraires et traducteurs français et orientaux viendront dans ce colloque éclairer la présence de l’Orient, concept et réalité, dans le travail de Derrida et l’impact de la pensée de Derrida sur les cultures d’Orient. Force nous est enfin de signaler que l’Orient sera ici pris dans un sens élargi à toutes les cultures et langues enseignées à l’Institut National des Langues et Civilisations Orientales (INALCO), lieu où débutera ce colloque, et englobera donc, entre autres et faute de pouvoir convier à cette rencontre des spécialistes de toutes ces langues et cultures, le Japon, la Chine, la Grèce, le monde arabe, la Turquie, les pays de l’Europe de l’Est et la culture créole.

昨年2014年は哲学者ジャック・デリダの没後10年にあたり、世界各地でシンポジウムが開催され、関連書籍が数多く刊行された。フランスのテレビ局アルテではちょうど命日の10月8日に、映像作家ヴィルジニー・リナールとデリダの伝記著者ブノワ・ペータースによるドキュメンタリー映画「ジャック・デリダ──思考の勇気」が放映された。デリダのテクストと関係者の証言（ジャン＝リュック・ナンシー、アヴィタル・ロネル、エティエンヌ・バリバール、サミュエル・ウェーバー、フィリップ・ソレルス、エリザベト・ルーディネスコなど）が交互に引用され、貴重な資料映像が用いられている本作を通じて、私たちは脱構築の思想家のさまざまな顔をうかがい知ることができる。

ジャック・デリダの死後、講義録（全43巻）が続々と刊行されており、日本語訳の第一弾『獣と主権者I』が没後10年目の2014年に出版された。『獣と主権者I』では、主権者と獣という両極的な法外者が主題化され、ラ・フォンテーヌ、マキャベリ、ホッブズ、ルソー、シュミット、ヴァレリー、ラカン、ドゥルーズ、ロレンス、ツェラン、アガンベンらのテクストが参照され、狼、子羊、狐、獅子、蛇、猿、イルカ、象などの多種多様な動物とともに、人間─動物政治論が縦横無尽に展開される。デリダ講義録の日本語訳刊行を記念して実施される今回のワークショップは、翻訳者による各回の解説、識者によるコメント、デリダ研究者による討論で構成される。未読者も既読者も『獣と主権者I』の魅力に触れることができる、入門的かつ応用的なワークショップである。

悲しいお知らせをお伝えしなければなりません。
私たちのかけがえのない友人であり優れた哲学研究者だった港道隆さん（甲南大学）が、３月５日、食道がんのために亡くなられました。
『メルロ＝ポンティ』（広松渉さんとの共著、岩波書店）、『レヴィナス―法—外な思想』（講談社）をはじめ、数多くの見事な著作、論文によって、思想研究の一世代を導き、担われた港道さんの功績は測り知れません。また、『精神について―ハイデッガーと問い』（人文書院／平凡社）、『アポリア―死す―「真理の諸限界」を[で／相]待—期する』（人文書院）など、ジャック・デリダの主要著作の比類のない翻訳者としても、巨大な足跡を残されました。
港道さんのお仕事から、私たちは、これからも、沢山のことを学び、相続していくでしょう。
限りない感謝とともに、懐かしい後ろ姿に、万感の思いをこめて、惜別の挨拶を送ります。

In his enigmatic 1994 essay Faith and Knowledge: The Two Sources of 'Religion' at the Limits of Reason Alone, Jacques Derrida explored the troubled place of religion in late modernity. If Derrida’s essay largely precedes the ‘post-secular turn’ in contemporary thought, it anticipates many of post-secularism’s defining concerns and questions: secularisation, ‘globalatinzation’, religious fundamentalism, the ‘religion’ of technological modernity, violence and terror.

The London Graduate School is pleased to announce its 2015 Summer Academy, an intensive week-long programme offered annually for postgraduate students of any institutional affiliation. This year the theme of the Summer Academy is Derrida’s Right to Philosophy. Once more the event will be held in central London, and the venue is University College London.
The ensemble of texts found in Du droit à la philosophie reflect Derrida’s engagement from the 1970s onwards with French political debates about the reform of national education and the future of philosophy teaching in the university in France and beyond. Here, he intervenes in the question of the institutional conditions and possibilities of philosophy as both an historical legacy and ongoing provocation to the future.In 1975 Derrida co-founded the Greph (Group de Recherches sur L’Enseignment Philosophique), a group committed both to theoretical investigation and activist intervention. Greph was founded in response to a perceived political and ideological attack on philosophical education on the part of the French government, operating under the general sponsorship of a matrix of economic, political, and techno-industrial and techno-military powers. While the election of Mitterand’s socialist government in 1981 hardly brought such concerns to a satisfactory conclusion, a state initiative was launched to establish an international college of philosophy in France, and Derrida took a leading role in the difficult process of negotiation and consultation that led to its inauguration in 1983, becoming the first director. At the time this call was being finalised, we learned of the threat of closure of the Collège international de philosophie (CIPH), which must surely provoke a renewal of the struggles that characterised its founding.
For Derrida, philosophy’s asymmetrical contract with the university—neither belonging nor not-belonging to the institution as a part of the whole, the universitas, which it itself allots—makes possible an opening on to the very question of the structure and effects of the university space, not least in its relations with the wider world (although Derrida is always most vigilant about the very fragile and deconstructible relationship between the supposed ‘inside’ and ‘outside’ of the institution). In other words, it is philosophy’s ‘with-against’ relation to the university that often interests Derrida in his interventions in political debates about French educational reform during this period. Derrida is less concerned with a straightforward defence of philosophy in its accepted scholarly guise than in transformative moves and gestures that make possible the ‘other’ of philosophy itself. Here, the question of the right to philosophy acquires a multiple sense. Whether one can ever proceed to the ‘philosophical’ directly as much as whether philosophy is a duty, privilege or justification (itself a question that is not always well served by excessive ‘directness’) is posed by Derrida as, among other things, a continued provocation to the question of the institution. If such questions about philosophy, the university and its ‘outside’ are just as urgent and pressing now as they were forty years ago, it is to the extent that they also make possible a certain powerful and productive resistance to discourses about what is ‘urgent’, dutifully or directly necessary, unanswerably pragmatic, and so forth—discourses that strongly facilitate dominant forms of governmentality and power today. The plight of the CIPH–still uncertain despite its apparent reprieve–is of course linked to a political discourse of pragmatism, so it is in this vein that our focus will very much be on the continuing relevance of Right to Philosophy as much as its historic context.

Right to Philosophy 2015 is a one and a half day conference-workshop departing from Jacques Derrida's Du droit à la philosophie (English: Who's Afraid of Philosophy? and The Eyes of the University) to address the contemporary university and related issues (institutions and counter-institutions, the fate of critique, the status of the humanities, etc.); in keeping with the conference-workshop format, attendees are strongly encouraged to prepare in advance, participate in the discussions, and to attend as much of the event as possible.

ジャック・デリダの動物論研究の第一人者Patrick Lloredパトリック・ロレッド氏（リヨン第三大学）を招聘して、連続セミナー「デリダの動物哲学 La philosophie animale de Derrida」を開催します。昨2014年、日本では『動物を追う、ゆえに私は（動物で）ある』『獣と主権者』の日本語訳が刊行されました。ロレッド氏とともに、デリダの動物論の可能性をめぐって、ベンヤミン、ドゥルーズ、レヴィナスとの比較を通じて、政治、哲学、倫理といった分野で議論します。
