Our Tunnel-Underground laboratory is one of the major laboratories specializing
in the tunnel engineering in Japan.
We had accepted overseas students from China, Korea and Indonesia in the past and almost of them returned to their countries after graduated their PhD program. Now they all became the experts of the field in their countries and also continue playing roles as a bridge for technology exchanges between their countries and Japan or other Asian countries after years returning to their home countries.
And concerning Japanese students in our laboratory, many of them in the
master’s program are not only the graduates of TMU but also from various
universities in Japan. And many of the doctoral students are the members
of the engineering society. Therefore, our students who have various backgrounds
and experiences are working hard cheerfully for their research helping
each other.
Ambitious people studying the tunnel engineering in the Asian countries,
let’s join us and study together in our lab!
