We have proposed new techniques for collection, measurment, and treatment of biological fine particles from the viewpoint of electrical and optical engineering !

Greeting from Principal Investigator

Welcome to Microelectrodynamics Laboratory, Department of Electronic and Information Systems Engineering, Faculty of System Design, Tokyo Metropolitan University.
With the support of Professor Satoshi Uchida and Assistant Professor Ippei Yagi, our laboratory is conducting research at the forefront of electronic and information systems engineering. We focus on a wide variety of topics ranging from the efficient collection and separation of microplastics in oceans and rivers using microfluidic devices, to molecular modeling of biological effects using plasma, electrical stimulation of cancer and aging cells, and fibrotic tissue softening technology using laser heating.
The laboratory contributes to the development of these advanced technologies. The laboratory allows each student to develop his or her own ideas and to acquire practical skills through active participation in real projects. We value an interdisciplinary and practical approach to research here, and can help you lay the foundation for becoming a future engineer and leader.
If you are interested, please do not hesitate to contact us. We sincerely hope that your research life in our laboratory will bring you new knowledge and great experiences.
