The research center of quantum material science and engineering has launched since 2022, after the “research center of superconducting science and engineering” was finished in 2021. Recently, novel quantum electronic states and phenomena can be observed in nano-scaled materials, superconducting materials, strongly correlated materials, and topological materials. We term those materials as “quantum materials”, and various research laboratories, which are actively studying on the quantum materials in Tokyo metropolitan university, get together in this research center, and perform collaborative researches through this center. This research center is a virtual center to facilitate researchers, who belong to different faculties and departments in Tokyo metropolitan university, to perform collaborative researches. Our goal is to produce novel findings and technologies through the collaborative researches.
