Ichiro Kita was graduated from Kanazawa University (B.Edu, 1984) and Kanazawa University Graduate School of Education
(M.Edu, 1986). Joined Tokyo Metropolitan University as an assistant professor in 1986; was promoted to associate professor in
1997. He was promoted to professor in 2008.

He received his Ph.D. from Toho University School of Medicine in 1997.

He is associated with Stanford University School of Medicine as Visiting Associate Professor from 4/1/02 to 3/31/03.
